  • Testing TripCase publishing. #
  • I'm evaluating which team I may have to pull for with @teamradioshack's run of bad luck. Apparently another bad day for them with crashes. #

Twitter Weekly Updates for 2011-07-03

  • Not sure if LinkedIn is a force for good or evil. Recruiters tend to want to link up without knowing you for a job you likely don't want. #
  • I have this weird talent for waking up one minute before the alarm goes off, no matter how much sleep I get. Virtuoso display this morning! #
  • Giving back to the techie community by answering questions on Stackoverflow and milestone accomplishment with a reputation now over 1000! #
  • Hell yeah, I just bought 'Triumph: Greatest Hits Remixed'! What ever happened to Rik Emmett? Still doing his thing: http://t.co/A8QFm9d #
  • The Tour de France starts tomorrow. Even if you don't like cycling, its worth watching to see the French countryside. http://t.co/UGliQLh #
  • I like this: "Many an opportunity is lost because a man is out looking for four-leaf clovers." #
  • Amazon keeps sending email requesting that I apply for a job with no job details provided. Flattered, but its a weird impersonal approach. #
  • My experience shows you cannot teach work ethic. Maybe I'm not working hard enough on it? #
  • If you aren't following @PaulSherwen and @PhilLiggett, now is certainly the time. Better yet, watch the Tour de France on Versus. #
  • @jarkko Thanks! In the States, I somehow have to figure out how to not find out how the stage goes until I can watch later that night. in reply to jarkko #
  • @jarkko Who are you rooting for and who do you think will win? #

Twitter Weekly Updates for 2011-06-26

  • Watched 'True Grit' last night and enjoyed Jeff Bridges' performance, but wasn't as entertained as much by the movie itself. #toughcrowd #

Twitter Weekly Updates for 2011-06-19

  • Weird to be watching 'Saving Private Ryan' the night before I pull strongly for Dirk. Good vs. Evil back-to-back nights. /cc @SportsSturm #
  • 3 miles on the track today; mostly walking. :( Following the theme of sustainability. Financial health is nothing without physical health. #
  • As an Aggie, felt right at home on the track. Anyone see that A&M has won Men's and Women's T&F Nat'l Championships 3 years in a row? #gigem #
  • 'You can't control what the ball do' — LeBron #
  • This broadcast has had a multitude of problems; slow to explain situations, Miami-bias, etc. But it also seems likes its in low-res. wtf? #
  • Brian Cardinal could walk right into a scene from 'The Walking Dead'. But I love him, of course. #
  • Also, I think Brian Cardinal was the German in 'Saving Private Ryan' who was set free and later came back to kill one of our guys. Bastard. #
  • Not ONE championship for LeBron, DWade, Bosh and the Heat. Not on the Mavs watch. GOOD triumphs over evil. Could not script it better. #
  • No interview from LeBron or D-Wade? Very disappointing. I guess they aren't so quick to talk when they are losers. #
  • Enjoying the Miami Herald this morning, but now hearing that I need to read the Cleveland paper too. Of course, listening to The Ticket. #
  • I love watching the Stanley Cup being skated; always gives me goose-bumps. Happy for the B's. #
  • Parents cleaned out their house and gave me some keepsakes. I got photos and scrapbooks, but not the Barbie Benton Playboy issue. Damn. #
  • Happily watching parts of today's Mavs parade. Proud of the city for making it such a classy day. So fun watching Dirk cut loose. #

Twitter Weekly Updates for 2011-06-12

  • Spent the last hour watching/listening to songs off the @chriscornell songbook tour that we didn't get to go to. Huge missed opportunity! #
  • 3rd time in a row to take a car in for service and then have to take it right back in due to a problem. And this is a different place too. #
  • Dropped $1k on various fixes on car, but now have an oil leak and check engine light goes on on my way back to the service center. #dammit #
  • Funny how Miami can flop on one end and then deny committing fouls on the other end. JVG is right basketball is becoming ridiculous. #
  • Loving all the JVG hot opinions given that he's a fired ex-coach who lost a series to Dallas while being up 3-1. #
  • Dirk with 101 degree temperature. Haywood out. Peja benched. Miami with a healthy thrice. And they lose. Miami is not a championship team. #
  • Mavs still haven't played a good game and its tied at 2. When the shots start falling, look out. Also, LeBron is anything but king. #
  • What more can Dirk do to add to his incredible legacy? Playing with a 100+ temp and making that key driving layup. #dirkismorekingthanlebron #
  • Also this, fuck you Miami! (sorry everyone…again). Lastly, you might want to put those parade plans on hold, Miami. #
  • @mkw1342 Friend me on Facebook. in reply to mkw1342 #
  • @junior_miller Does Chalmers have your hypothetical super-power? #
  • Ice cream headache right now. First lead going into the 4th period since May 23rd. Good sign or will they not play well with the lead? #
  • Shawn Marion drives me absolutely crazy. Can't we tell him not to shoot under any circumstances? #
  • Mavs win. Time to get drunk and get laid. Well, 2 outta 3 ain't bad. I'm married after all. #
  • @ScoopsCallahan Wouldn't mind having the account since I hold Tom's domain sccopscallahan.com and set up his Facebook fan page. #
  • @scoopscallahan Follow me, then DM me. #
  • Loving this. @TicketRadio playing Metallica's 'King Nothing'. 'Where's your crown king nothing?' What's up LeBron? Who made him a King? #
  • @winstarworld Your ticket selling process needs help. Hard to buy online and the call center disconnects after 15 minutes. 2nd time now. #
  • @WinStarWorld Tix weren't online for at least 10 mins. So called, got disconnected. Tix finally purchased after 20 mins. Seems not fair. in reply to WinStarWorld #
  • @WinStarWorld Your site gives a non-direct phone number to the box office. Why should we have to go to an automated menu? Should be direct. in reply to WinStarWorld #
  • Wow…just got a note from American AAdvantage congratulating me on my 25th Anniversary with them. Signed up when I was 21. #
  • For some reason today, thinking long and hard about retirement and sustainability. Feeling like I have to make something happen. #
  • Big shout out to Mike's Hobby Shop in Dallas who helped me diagnose a faulty receiver in my UM F4U Corsair. Mike himself took a look! #

Twitter Weekly Updates for 2011-06-05

  • Back from Fort Worth where we stayed at The Ashton, partook of Sundance Square, and dined to Mercury Chophouse. Pretty awesome! #
  • There must be a sizable visible evil Ghostbusters-style cloud vortex over the American Airlines Arena in Miami now. Good vs Evil in 30 hrs. #
  • Two roofer visits today and we were gone most of the morning. Sounds like everyone in the neighborhood may be getting a new roof. #
  • Re-engaging on a moth-balled app idea as an excuse to learn the new Rails 3.1 changes (e.g. assets, sass, coffeescript, etc). #
  • This was a winnable game. Mavs very mediocre. Unimpressed by Miami. Mavs win game 2. But tonight, score one for evil. I hate evil. #
  • Just done arranging for the insurance company to come take a look at our roof after the hail damage last week. Hope this goes well. #
  • Gives me goose-bumps hearing the Canadians sing their National Anthem. #nhl #stanleycupplayoffs #
  • Resisting the urge to cuss while watching this Mavs game. Combo of things irritating me. But Mavs giving this series away. #
  • Marion has had a decent game, but he's among the worst finishers. Dallas' window is closing during the championship series; suddenly old. #
  • WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW..WOW #dirk #
  • First home loss by Miami. Score one for good over evil. Miami may be crying in their locker room. We have a series now. #
  • Also this, fuck you Miami. (sorry, everyone) #dirk #mavs #karma #goodoverevil #
  • Free @AppSumo Blogggging for Startups Action Video today http://appsumo.com/tweet/206/?r=yry4 #
  • Watched 'Lifeforce' on Netflix the other night. Circa 1985. Consequently, I've added Mathilda May to my celeb exemption list. Weird movie. #

  • After watching Shark Tank a few wks ago, we decided to buy the @CitiKitty potty training kit for our cat. We're about to start the training! #

Twitter Weekly Updates for 2011-05-29

  • Its really cool that OKC's 'blue-out' perfectly matches the Mavs' jerseys. Seems a little less intimidating. #
  • Mediocre games out of Dirk, Jet, and JJ and Mavs win. Back on schedule to close these guys out in 5. Better game out of Dirk on Monday. #
  • WFAA now has both Delkus and McCauley on the air to do the weather. Reminds me of "I'm Joe Buck…Troy Aikman in a moment…" #
  • @DavidHainlin Love that new Geoforce website! Well, I love it more than the last one. Okay, I just barely like it, but I hated the old one. #
  • One year ago today, the LOST finale. #WeHaveToGoBack #
  • Shawn Marion is the worst finisher I've seen since Erick Dampier. #
  • Throughout this game, the Mavs are in love with the perfect pass and shot. Too many double pumps. Shoot in rhythm! /cc @junior_miller #
  • OKC…welcome to the playoffs. Dagger firmly inserted on Monday. On Wednesday, we twist it, pull it out, and show you your blood as you die. #
  • After listening to all the recounts of last night's Mavs win, it sounds like OKC should minimize Westbrook's minutes. Did so in Game 2 win. #
  • To all my OKC friends and family: be safe out there! Looks like its go-time for the storms. #
  • Wow…that was exciting! One of the scariest few hours I've recorded at this address. #
  • Give the Foo Fighters the Grammys and an award for coolest band. They played twice in one day at the Hangout Festival: http://bit.ly/jvYLjR #
  • @SportsSturm What's the Count, boys? > Please stop this. It did not work for the Dallas Stars numerous times. Time for something new. #
  • Toughest 5 game series I've seen. Happy to be done with OKC; we'll see them again soon in the playoffs. #
  • @SportsSturm I stand corrected. Please accept my sincere apology. Your lease is renewed. #
  • Dirk = William Wallace #

Twitter Weekly Updates for 2011-05-22

  • Just when I thought I had no more entertaining tweets in me, here came this one! #
  • Will have rooting interests through the NBA Finals. The wife and the in-laws are from the OKC area. Hoping for Dallas, but OKC is okay too. #
  • @mkw1342 And yet snow on the course of the Tour of California leaves us with no Stage 1. Still I back the Shack too. Go Levi! in reply to mkw1342 #
  • @Aggie_Athletics @AggieMensHoops Do we have a Twitter name for Coach Kennedy? in reply to Aggie_Athletics #
  • Great to be able to have seen the Iceman, Dr. J, Magic, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, and now Dirk Nowitzki in their prime. Dirk is amazing. #
  • African proverbs: "Do not tell the man who is carrying you that he stinks.” "A child who knows how to wash his hands, dines with elders." #
  • Ready for the weekend as the day job continues to rob me of my soul. Exhausted. Thai food tonight should help. #
  • Hang in there @lancearmstrong. I am convinced you are a force for good, though you may not qualify for the rapture. Me either. Small world. #
  • Up late you-tubing unplugged songs from 'Alice and Chains', 'Pearl Jam', and 'Nirvana'. Pumping life back into my weathered soul. #
  • Did ESPN license the entire Foo Fighters' 'Wasting Light' CD for their highlights and outros? Hearing most songs from the CD and liking it. #

Twitter Weekly Updates for 2011-05-15

  • After we watched a movie tonight, we discovered that Suzanne had missed 3 calls. Two appear to be from her Craigslist buyer. Awesome. #
  • Last night we watched the movie 'Hereafter". I could have gone all my life without seeing that movie. Seriously though, sorta mediocre. #
  • Having recently seen 'The Fighter', I recognize this Laker strategy. They are letting the Mavericks punch themselves out. #
  • All of a sudden a hockey game has broken out. Who is our enforcer? We still have to survive whatever Artest might do. Lakers have no class. #
  • Winning by 36 represents a Zombieland-style double-tap. Are we even for 1988 now? #
  • Just watched 'Restrepo'. Powerful. Probably should be required viewing for all of us who enjoy our freedom. #
  • Lest any think cycling is not a dangerous sport, be advised we had a death in the Giro today. Sympathies to the family of Wouter Weylandt. #
  • Best possible result in the OKC-Memphis game if you are a Mavs fan. Series tied up and they went 3OT to do it. #
  • Will be a great day when A&M is a destination instead of a stepping stone for coaches. Congrats @CoachTurgeon, see you in the NCAA. #gigem #
  • @junior_miller what about Razor? #
  • 1 mile from home and traffic crawling. You can count on Dallas to rob you of time early and often. #bitching #
  • @eachus Those examples were from GeoKit circa 2007 or so! Things have evolved since then and I'm no longer directly involved right now. in reply to eachus #
  • @eachus I don't know the current state. Its probably largely dependent on Google's support of those regions. in reply to eachus #
  • @eachus Best bet for current info is: http://groups.google.com/group/geokit in reply to eachus #
  • We're going to Paris!! If by Paris you mean Cabo. Decided to keep it simple this year. France in 2012. Bonsoir mes amies! #
  • Coming to the realization that I've been in a stretch now where job satisfaction has been dipping to lower levels than I'd like. #
  • @CoachTurgeon left to go to a 'basketball' school. Wow, how long has he felt that way? Maryland did not even go to the NIT this year. #gigem #
  • Yes, its sour grapes regarding @CoachTurgeon. More than a little worried about our basketball program now; was really bad timing. #gigem #
  • Having a blast following Scoops Callahan on Facebook. /cc @SportsSturm @bracketdan @TicketRadio #

Twitter Weekly Updates for 2011-05-08

  • Though our HOA is supposed to trim our hedges, we tired of waiting and did it ourselves. Its hard to top that daytime highlight tonight. #
  • Just done watching 'The Fighter'. Loved it. Had to apologize to the wife for not having a body like Mark Wahlberg. #thisisnotthefirsttime #
  • @ryanmarc Before Clooney, there was the Sting apology. We have no Philip Seymour Hoffman movies queued up, so my pride is good for a while. in reply to ryanmarc #
  • We have observed grocery-sacking incompetence 70% of the time at our local @KrogerCo. They should just let us do it for free or a discount. #
  • Non-partisan observation: Its weird to see people taking shots at Obama over the bin Laden death. Americans should agree its a great day. #
  • Traffic jam reinforces my intuition which was telling me to stay home. Too late now. #
  • 'Alice in Chains Unplugged' at the Winstar in August? Count me in. #
  • Staying up late to watch the Mavs game is rewarded. Quickly to bed now… #
  • Leaving early foiled by traffic jam…again…,(sigh) #
  • After seeing Osama's 5-year-old 'mansion' compound, I'm a lot less disappointed in my own homebuilder, but they still did a piss-poor job. #
  • Another late night Maverick game rewarded. Mavs up 2-0 and headed home?! I keep watching my totem to see if its wobbling. #noonewillgetthat #
  • Also, I hope Artest is suspended for that cheap shot. Or do I? Mavs do pretty well with him on the floor. #
  • Listening to 'Operation Mindcrime' by Queensryche circa 1988. Amazing album. More than holds up after all these years. #
  • Man, I'm coding the crap out of this refactoring… #
  • I think @wipeout has ruined the Big Balls. No one gets past the 2nd ball. On a positive note, love the new surprise punch at the stairtop. #
  • Hate to be pessimistic, but the Rangers don't have the look of a team that will repeat its success from last year. Pitching will doom them. #
  • 56 days until the Tour de France. Can't wait. Not sure who I will root for to beat Contador, but I will definitely be choosing someone soon. #
  • Was prepared to say this was a very enjoyable playoff game no matter what happened. Hard fought on both sides. Gutsy Mavs win. #stickafork #
  • New n'bors get the HOA guys to take down their Honeysuckle vine which bridges our two yards. Then they blow the remnants into our garden. #
  • Another Craigslist sale adventure complete! On a side note, when did we start making $20 bills with a winking Andrew Jackson on the front? #
