Thanksgiving Review

Filed under: Life — Bill Eisenhauer at 11:53 pm on Sunday, November 27, 2005

For our first Thanksgiving together, Suzanne and I invited my parents up from San Antonio to enjoy the Holiday with us.  Our not-so-hidden agenda was to send my old sofa back home with them and thus clear out space in our garage.  As Winter approaches (if it ever approaches), we’ll need the space in the garage for one of our cars.

This was Suzanne’s first time to cook turkey and dressing, but you would never have known it.  She flawlessly planned and prepared the Thanksgiving meal along with the many in-between meals that we needed to keep us going for three days.  She was an unbelievable host to my parents and continues to reaffirm my decision to spend the rest of my life with her.

If the cooking weren’t enough, she spent almost the entire day Friday shopping with my Mother.  While shopping is not combat duty, I was still impressed that she could spend the entire day with her Mother-In-Law.
